I had tried to do the suggested step quite a few times but it kept putting itself back on/in Firefox. Once again today I unninstalled it as an addon. I am crossing my fingers it works this time.

You probably need to remove that program from Windows and then remove it from Firefox, otherwise the Windows program may reinstall the Firefox extension.

Thank you for getting back to me on this. I actually tried locating it in Windows when I first had problems and did not find it. Any ideas?

i also experienced this irritating thing. but i got rid off this by uninstalling facemoods from control panel and then removing the addon in firefox. first uninstall facemoods from add/remove programs as the program installs the firefox addon once the browser is restated. then remove the facemoods addon from tools menu in firefox.

I went to the add / remove first thing it did not show up there but a search for facemoods on my pc resulted in some file, which I deleted. It still pops up sometimes. Right now with my youngest stepson frying my external drive and as I found out later putting a non-genuine copy of Win7 on my pc I am looking at having to spend money on a real copy of Win7 and a new external drive. Microsoft is letting me know they do not like my copy of Win7 grrrrr!

Thank you for replying to my query. Ok here goes. Following the link given in part I found the following:

To remove Facemoods from your computer, simply go to the Control Panel in your start menu, then click on Add/Remove Programs, find Facemoods and click Remove.

If you use Firefox, you also need to remove the Facemoods Add-on, go to Tools–>Add-ons in the Firefox toolbar menu and click to uninstall.

When this first started I tried to do the add / remove thing. When I checked there was no program listed. Following the directions to access my addons I did not get a list of my addons I got the generic site to find an addon. Yes I signed in and still got the site.

It is funny I had tried it but it did not work. I just had to reinstall Win 7 due to some problems with the last install and in the process NO MORE FACEMOODS. Cured that problem!

I also can't get rid of this virus-like "browser" called facemoods. It does not show up as a program that I can delete from the control panel nor as an extension. Any ideas?
