Firefox had automatically saved a password that is incorrect and I want to correct it
Firefox has remembered a password for a site I use that was an incorrect password, I don't know how to change it to the correct password.
This happened

Here is how to delete a site from the saved passwords list:
1. Go to Tools | Options | Security Panel
2. Under the Passwords section, select Saved Passwords
3. Find the site you want to remove on the list. Select it.
4. Click Remove . Select OK to close that window
When you go to the site again, Firefox should ask you to save the password
If the name stays the same and you only need to change (update) the stored password then fill the name in the login form and let Firefox fill the wrong password. You may have to press the Tab key to fill the password field. If you replace the wrong password with the new password then Firefox should offer to store the new password. Use the Remember Password bookmarklet on websites that use "autocomplete=off" to prevent Firefox from saving passwords. You can verify that Firefox has stored the new password: Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords" If that didn't work then remove that name and password in the Password Manager and Firefox should offer to save the new password on the next visit or after reloading the login page.

I had the same problem - I recently had to change my password for a few websites I use for work (we change them every 2 months), an thus my saved passwords are now the incorrect old passwords. I followed your steps, but Firefox is yet to ask me to save the password again, and it's been about a week. Is there a way I can just add manually?
