there's already a thread with info on this at http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/1/715101 but it's not titled appropriately.

what's happening here is that when i go to facebook, sporadically (every 20 minutes or so, sometimes less) a new window opens with the title 123456789 and the url as krepi.net/trash//redirect.php?m=(message) where (message) is some kind of junk advertising something like a profile mod. the message ends up posted on my wall via the share application.

the problem is not limited to firefox, the same bug happened in chrome, but chrome crashed instead of posting.

anyone else with this issue or any ideas, please help! antimalware, spybot, avg all found nothing.

Not that anyone will like this, but it is a Facebook problem.

I took ALL my information off Facebook several weeks ago after doing some additional research on their 'income'. Remember when you signed up and they Promised that they did not share your information - well that is CRAP.

The redirect pop up you are getting is trying to hijack you to a Known Phishing site that Facebook 'sold' the rights to exploit their users.

Want to correct the situation? Disable your Facebook account!

Just my .02 worth.

this is lolwrong.

someone posted a trick that i've been doing for a few days this morning in another thread , using blocksite and adding krepi.net (i also block redirectme.net). this works but not well because you still get notifications and popups, but at least nothing posts to the account.

facebook is in the title of this thread and while i'm typing this, the address bar keeps stealing focus. this is more than a firefox issue clearly. very frustrating.

I'm having the same problem. I'm going to try the blocksite add-on, but this sucks!

It seems to be whenever facebook is loaded or mentioned. It totally takes over my address bar as well, because as I'm typing my text starts showing up in the address bar instead of the body of the website.

Does nobody have any information on this?

I am having the same problem. I have run everything and nothing seems to fix this.

Anyone find anything?

please give us the work around to fix this

I found the solution. Download http://www.superantispyware.com/ and it deletes everything. The hijack is really a combination of adware and spyware. It fixed everything for me!

I had the same problem. I tried Malwarebytes, Ad-Aware, Avast, and a few registry cleaners but had no luck.

I tried the solution above by Anonymous with Superantispyware and it solved my problem.

THANK YOU !!!

Confirmed. Ran Superantispyware and I'm in the clear. ROCK ON! F@#$ Bogus Facebook Apps!

I'm running Norton 360 v4 (Yea, I know) and a hour and a half "full" scan didn't fix the problem. So i guess you don't always get what you pay for!

Thanks Anon!
