Why does FireFox disconnect on it's own?

Hi Andy, could you add a bit more details on your issue? Disconnect from what? Do the pages stop loading? Does it happen on specific pages?

My bookmarks go away, and I have to restore from a backup. I get the message I'm disconnected from sync. Happens every few days. That's about all I can relate. Thanks.

Thanks Andy, I wonder if the issue is that you get redirected to a new profile, that's why you loose things and get disconnected. Could you follow the following steps: Check whether your data is available in a different profile:

Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it. The About Profiles page will open. This page should list at least one profile and could list many.

The profile that Firefox is currently using will show:
This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted.

Please do not delete anything here; don't use any Remove buttons.

Do you have another profile named default or default-longnumber listed on this page? If so, you can check whether it is the one you were using recently by clicking its Launch profile in new browser button.

If it isn't what you want, simply close that new window.

If it IS what you want, click the Set as default profile button for that profile on the about:profiles page. Firefox will use it automatically at the next startup.

Good morning, I found 3 other profiles, how they got there I have no idea. I deleted 2 of the 3. One was named Andy, I set that as the default. Let’s see if that works. If not, I’ll revert to the default that can’t be deleted, delete Andy then rename default Andy. Thoughts? Thanks.

Good morning, Actually, it did not. The default profile had the information. After a few more crashes I reverted to the default profile. I most likely will delete the old profile. I'll keep your info handy in case I need further help. Thanks to the advice. Have a great week. Andy
