Firefox 115 ESR is being served to the eol Windows 7, 8, 8.1 users. You need to uncheck the "Run the program in compatibility mode for as shown in guilds like https://www.minitool.com/news/how-to-run-a-program-in-compatibility-mode.html Then if you then do an internal Firefox update you may get served Firefox 140.4.0esr so if you want the current Firefox 144.0.2 Release then download it from https://www.firefox.com/download/all/desktop-release/
