Just a note that I had a lot of probem with the firefox not opening when a link is being clicked. It would open in background but not come to focus.

External hyperlinks do not open in Firefox window.

I found that focusmanager.testmode was the cuplrit, after a lot of hard work.

Solution: Firefox External Links Not Focusing on Windows 11

If you're experiencing an issue where clicking external links (e.g., from email or apps) opens Firefox on Windows 11 but the window flashes and does not come to the front or doesn't come into focus, here's a simple fix.

Steps to Fix

  1. Open Firefox and type about:config in the address bar, then click "Accept the Risk and Continue."
  2. Search for focusmanager.testmode.
  3. If it's set to true, double-click to change it to false.
  4. Restart Firefox.

Test by clicking an external link to confirm Firefox now focuses properly.

This change ensures Firefox's focus manager operates in standard mode, resolving the issue where windows fail to stay in focus. Tested on Windows 11 pro with Firefox 142.0. After a lot of hard work!
