How can I unsync desktop from laptop bookmarks?

Selected update Mozilla to Windows 11 yesterday on desktop and am now seeing two sets of bookmarks on both devices. Laptop bookmarks were originally separate from desktop. Laptop is mine and desktop is my wifes. Did not know that it would auto sync both devices.

Is it possible to unsync/separate?

To clean up, try this:

First, disconnect the Desktop from your Firefox account. That account should only be used in installations of Firefox you want to share data with your laptop. IMPORTANT: when disconnecting, do NOT clear all the data.

Second, on the Desktop, try restoring bookmarks from the last automatic backup. The following article has the steps: Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer.

Third, on the laptop, try restoring bookmarks from its last automatic backup. There is some possibility that Sync will try to override you with the combined set, but hopefully not.
