add to home screen doesn't work

Ray Holland

On my Samsung Galaxy s6 when I try to add to the home screen and then choose the option to tap and hold and drag to the screen, it just closes the app it is nothing. It doesn't work. The text options from the pop-up do work but the main graphic where it's trying to get you to drag and drop it does not work.

I’ve run into the same issue on an older Galaxy device—seems like a compatibility problem between the current Firefox version and Samsung’s One UI on older Android versions. Sometimes clearing the cache for Firefox or trying the “Add to Home screen” from the browser menu instead of the prompt helps. If not, using a different browser like Chrome or updating to a newer version of Firefox (if possible) might work. It’s frustrating when something that simple just doesn’t respond!
