I had dozens and dozens of bookmarks saved, which I backed up a few days ago, and saved the .json file to my desktop. When I went to open them this morning, they were all gone. I imported the file to restore them, but none of my saved bookmarks returned. It seemed to import a state from 2024. I have scoured these forums and tried everything that was sugggested, even tips from different forums. Did this happen because I didn't have a Mozilla account (until now)? Please please help. I don't have any profile data saved on my computer and I need my bookmarks back!
