"Firefox could not download the search plugin from amazon"
Hi all,
I'm an English speaker in Germany, and I'm trying to add amazon.de as a search shortcut, using the official steps (right click on address bar, choose 'add Amazon').
However, I'm getting the following error: Firefox could not download the search plugin from: https://d2lo25i6d3q8zm.cloudfront.net/browser-plugins/AmazonSearchSuggestionsOSD.Firefox.xml
I've seen similar calls for help that seem to stretch back years, but alas they appear to have had slightly different symptoms/solutions that don't seem to apply to my situation.
Cheers.

Also, it seems bizarre that Firefox for Android has the option to manually enter any search engine I want through a very Chrome-like process, but we can't do that on desktop?
Hello
Firefox could not download the search plugin. Indeed, I have tested.
You can try Add the Search bar to your Firefox toolbar https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-search-bar-firefox-toolbar Add or remove a search engine in Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-or-remove-search-engine-firefox
And, you can try Mycroft Project search engine plugins
