Hello,

So I have this habbit I love which is opening a link on a new tab, then continue browsing the content on my old tab until the new one loads, or when I am done reading through it. Recently, firefox has been switching automatically to the new tab once it loads, which interrupts my workflow/reading a lot.

Is there a way I can stop this or turn this feature off? I believe I start experiencing this after an update.

Enter about:config in the address bar and check if browser.tabs.loadInBackground = true

Hey there and thanks for the reply.

Both entries are true. I turned them to false but the issue persists (Mostly happening on google search).

Hello,

What is your method to open links in new tabs? Right click?

Do you have any add-ons that could change the way tabs are opening?

Not sure if it work on all OS (I only try on Linux), but when I click at the center of my trackpad or the mouse wheel, it open a tab in background. Does this method also make the tabs to switch?

Hilfreich?
