Hello,

I have a PDF that opens and displays correctly in Adobe as well as the Edge Browser.

However, when I attempt to open it in Firefox in Windows 11 it doesn't show the letter "i" - - - I swear I'm not making it up. I had a friend try to open it in her Firefox (Windows 10) the letter "i" is also missing.

I wish I could attach the actual PDF so others can test but I will add a screenshot to this message.

Regards,

Paul

No proof of the issue... Screenshot.... useless. Hard to help with something we cannot see.

If you aren't willing to offer help then go away.

I stated the facts. I provided a screenshot backing up my statement (showing the missing letter i ).

If you need anything else then ask me. If you want me to "prove" it then tell me how I can do so.

I see the "i"s missing in your image. I went looking at various PDFs I've created as well as looking at various random "waterways" PDFs that Google showed when doing a search and they all looked fine.

None looked like the one in your image though.

Without a link to that specific PDF, hard to say if it's just a problem with that specific one or not.

Hi Mark,

Thank you I appreciate that.

I don't think I can post the PDF here can I?

All I can see is add images (optional).

I would happily attach the actual PDF if there is a way?

Paul

Hi Again,

Just an update.

I've been trying to solve this all day and found someone suggesting to go to about:config and changing pdfjs.disableFontFace to true.

Whola it worked. The letter "i" is now visible.

Now I will spend some time working out what pjfjs.disableFontFace actually is.

If anyone does want me to send the PDF so you can check for yourself happy to oblige.

Regards,

Paul
