Firefox browser updates
I was wonder when the next browser update may be come as I would like to watch YouTube on Firefox again. As it has been over a month since the last update that made it so YouTube doesn't load the video anymore. (I have tried every suggestion online to correct this and nothing)

You don't say EXACTLY which version you are currently on. I got an up-date yesterday taking me to 128.0.3.
Hi Jason, this could be because YouTube has rolled out some anti-adblock code. You may want to:
Double-check content blockers
(A) The shield icon toward the left end of the address bar usually turns a bit purplish when content is blocked. Click the icon to learn more or make an exception. See: Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox for desktop.
(B) Extensions such as Adblock Plus, Blur, Disconnect, DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, Ghostery, NoScript, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin or uMatrix may block required elements on a site. Usually you can find a toolbar button for each add-on to manage blocked content in a page. There may or may not be a number on the icon indicating the number of blocked items; you sometimes need to click the button to see what's going on and test whether you need to make an exception for this site.
The shield Icon isn't filled at all and is on standard. I use Ghostery but once I turned it off nothing changed. The page itself loads but the video does not and I only started doing that after the latest update.
@thepillenwerfer I have the same version.
Do embedded YouTube videos play? I have an example on my page here: https://www.jeffersonscher.com/gm/google-hit-hider/
jsccher2000 No that link didn't play. I will say after a couple of days, like three or four, a video will play on YouTube. On the lowest resolution for nineteen seconds and then freeze.
Hi Jason, could you check this test page. It is my copy of a page that YouTube used to have years ago. The expected result is supported, probably, probably, supported, supported, supported:

All good there?
jsccher2000 I have other computers in my home that have Firefox and Youtube does work on them it is only my personal laptop that this issue has manifested and only after the browser was updated.
Did you try to clear cookies for that website?
Hi Jason, a new version of Firefox was released on Tuesday of this week. I haven't noticed any change (YouTube was working for me before and it works for me now), but if you haven't already gotten the update, you can request it using the steps in the following article: Update Firefox to the latest release.
@TyDraniu tried it. Didn't work.
@jsccher2000 checked for update, restarted Firefox, didn't work.
If I understand so far, you have Firefox 129, Tracking Protection is not engaged on YouTube (shield outline remains black and isn't purplish), and disabling Ghostery doesn't help.
You could try testing in Firefox's Troubleshoot Mode. This will disable all add-ons as well as hardware acceleration of graphics/video to check whether any of those are a factor. This article has more info on that option: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. (Please don't select Refresh/Reset at this point, since we don't know that it would help.)
Do you see media related messages in the Web Console?
