Firefox is very slow!

I have a very fast internet connection, 200 mbps and everything else on both my laptop and my mobile phone are working fine but Firefox is very slow. Pages load ok but videos will play for a short time and then freeze never to continue and downloads are painfully slow, 2 to 4 mbps. Edge and Chrome download normally and videos play with no issue. I need this fixed or Firefox is going bye bye!

Try changing DNS over HTTPS (DoH) to "Off" or "Max Protection" and in Connection Settings change "Use system proxy settings" to "No proxy".

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

Can you show how Firefox is slow? What's the make and model of the laptop? Windows home or pro version? WiFi or LAN? Router and Modem or just a Modem? Did you get the same results with Firefox in Safe Mode? What security software are you running?
