Add-on icons have disappeared from toolbar and don't appear in Customize menu

Is this a new "feature?" The add-ons that I need to interact with frequently have vanished from my toolbar and can't be re-added; they don't appear as options in Customize.

I've DONE the "delete extensions.*" thing and the problem still exists. I even tried creating a new profile, but the icons didn't appear as I installed the extensions. It's as though Firefox has unilaterally decided to remove this feature and didn't warn users about it.

I still HAVE the add-ons and can access them from the add-ons list, but that's inconvenient since there are only a few that I really need to interact with; the rest can stay out of sight and quietly do their thing.

Is this a bug that crept into the latest update, or is it something that you're wishing on users? I've loved Firefox for years for its privacy focus, flexibility and customizability; please don't take an ease-of-use feature away from us.

Extensions are now managed via the Extensions button at the right end of the Navigation Toolbar. This button serves as the overflow button for extensions you install.

I already stated I had found the add-ons menu. It does not solve the problem I had stated.

My problem is that I want certain specific ones to be ON MY TOOLBAR where I can easily use them on the fly without having to go through additional steps to open a menu and fish them out of a list. I have a preferred way of working and don't want to have to suddenly change it because some programmer unilaterally decided to eliminate a feature I rely on.

I rolled my Firefox back to 108 and will NOT be updating unless convenience is restored or a workaround is found. As far as I'm concerned, this new lack of customizability is a bug, not a feature. It's of no benefit whatsoever to me.

If you want to add an extension to a toolbar, just click Pin to toolbar, as explained in provided article.

I didn't see any such option. Will look again on the other profile after I've backed this one up.

You can click the gear icon in the Extensions button drop-down next to an extension to find "Pin to Toolbar", more options in the right-click context menu. You can revert this (Unpin from Toolbar) via the context menu of an extension you pinned to the toolbar.
