Firefox on Android Closes the entire app when I hit the back button

Ever since I switched to two Firefox as my main browser on Android I have had the issue of if I click on a link after searching for something, realize it's not what I want, and hit the back button the entire app closes and I have to reopen it again.

As far as I can tell this behavior happens anytime that Firefox tries to close a tab automatically which is interesting considering that I haven't sent to always close tabs manually and never automatically. This really needs to be fixed this behavior is incredibly annoying.

OnePlus 8t, official stock rom, no root.
