Command + F has suddenly stopped working. Other command functions (e.g., command + L) continue to work as expected, including cut/copy/paste. But command + F simply does not work (going to the menu and selecting the manually selecting the magnifying glass also still works, so it’s not something systemic with the search window, i wouldn’t think).

I posted a message on the App Store indicating the situation, and received a reply from the dev asking me to post my “report” here - not sure if this qualifies, though.

EDIT: command + F works in Safari (just to reiterate/confirm it’s not a keyboard issue)

Did you try to close and restart Firefox or reboot the computer ?

Yes, I’ve done that. I’ve also uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, to no avail - still no command + F functionality, which disables its usability to an untenable degree. I’m now looking for the easiest way to manually import my bookmarks into another browser until this is sorted out, given the apparent lack of solutions.

And to be clear, I’m referring to my iPad here - command + F still works on my “computer” (i.e., laptop).

These are the firefox shortcuts that are implemented for the Browser when I looked for it. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly

That is for desktop Firefox when the OP is using Firefox on iPad as per last reply above yours.

Thanks. Another way to call up the Firefox for iPad keyboard shortcuts is to just hold down the command key. A pop-up window of shortcuts appear, and then you can tap on the one you want. Tapping on the pop-up for “Find - cmd F” also does not work for me (the others work as expected). The Firefox app is updated and I’m running iPadOS 15.6.1

I’ve had this problem for a few weeks, too. Used to use command [ and command ] to move back and forward. Pretty much, those stopped working, too, and my arm is tired of lifting up to the screen all the time! Yes, on iPad. Command+Shift+left arrow or right arrow sometimes works (to switch tabs), but not consistently.

Command W seems to work all the time—whoop-de-doo!—but, DANG! I want it ALL to work!!

PS: I did NOT ask to be notified when this gets fixed. I’ll know it when it starts working again.

NOTE: EVERYONE WITH ANY ISSUES, PLEASE POST or at least CLICK “ME, TOO!” That way, Mozilla will see more people have the same issue and maybe push the fix closer to the top of their fix-it list!

Me too: IpadOS 14.4.1 here. Command W works in Safari, but not in Firefox 107. Command Shift Arrow sometimes switches tab, sometimes not. Like right now, it does not work, but it worked 5 minutes ago. It will work again after I tap any tab up on the tab row. In this case, it may have to do with this text entry window... but STILL. No other browser has done this.

Command F sometimes goes to Find, sometimes not. Command t sometimes opens a new tab, sometimes not so much. All Command combos work in Safari.

My iPhone is up to iOS 16, but with the iPad I haven't gotten around to it yet, didn't see a real need to yet.
