Line spacing control
Hi,
I can not find an option or an add-on that will allow me to control the line spacing when composing a message (e. 1, 1.5, double and so on - as in Word, Openoffice writer, Wordpad) in a message or (better), in a paragraph. I have searched the forum but all I could find was a discussion of paragraph and body style, without a reference to where those styles can actually be tinkered with. Am I missing something ? Does TB not include controls for Line Spacing at all in 2022 ??

I am not aware of Thunderbird (or any email client) ever offering line spacing, although you can achieve that if you edit the message in HTML.
When typing in the body of an email, I get double spacing. In Tools > Settings > Composition > HTML Style I have the box "Use Paragraph Format instead of Body Text by default" unchecked, and I still get double spacing when hitting Enter. Am using TB 102.2.2 (64 bit). Just upgraded to Windows 11 and installed this TB version, and having buyers remorse with things not working. Thanks. Jerry
That paragraph setting is primarily for use with HTML, inserting paragraph tags with one setting and break tabs with the other. The design assumption is that you won't hit Enter key until you are through with a paragraph.
Thanks for your speedy reply. So.... how do I get TB to single space when I hit enter while composing a msg? Jerry
Hmmmm....TB suddenly started single spacing after Enter key pressed. Don't know why, but please don't bother with further posts. Thanks. Jerry
It stops double spacing the second time you hit enter. I would like it to not do that the first time. Any answers? New version of TB does not have "Options" menu on Tools anymore

New wording is confusing, I agree. Try tools>settings
