I started using Linux Mint a few months ago, and since then have had issues with opening Firefox on startup. The attached image shows roughly what Firefox does the first time I try to open it after starting my computer. I usually have to close and re-open it 5-10 times before it will launch properly. At this point, I usually manually recover my previous session. Does anybody know of a potential fix to this problem? I have tried updating Firefox and have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

Try downloading another copy of Firefox, run it from the folder and see if you have the same issue. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

Is that X11 or Wayland?

I just tried running firefox from the usr/bin folder (without downloading another copy) and it doesn't seem to be having the same issue if I run directly from the folder.

Also, it is X11.

I didn't reply previously because I couldn't see what your screenshot is supposed to show. If you can load the executable, there must be something wrong with the launcher or menu command you are using so I would check its properties. LinuxMint does its own configuration of Firefox (last I read).
