Got sick and tired of having to enter payment card info every time, so I decided to RTFM and follow instructions. I worked my way thru all the instructions on found on the forum pages, and was entering the information via about:config, and got to the popup where I was asked to confirm, and clicked the button, then clicked it harder, but nothing happened.

My guess is that my Firefox and/or my Leap15.3 installation has left some file permission read-only and Firefox is unable to save this bit of data, but I really don't want to run Firefox as root. I can say more, but I see there are more boxes to fill.

So, I included a screenshot of what I hope will be the useful part of my config file.

It appears to be set.

I can bring up the form which allows me to enter a credit card. If I mis-type a number, I get a 'please enter a valid credit card number' message, which strongly suggests that the form is working. But, when I click the button to add the new credit card (which has turned a stronger shade of blue (I think it is blue; I have failed every color-blindness test I ever attempted), which suggests that all is well up to this point: nothing happens. Things just hang. I have checked every log file I know of (as you know Leap 15.3 has a LOT of log files) and can find no alerts.

Try downloading another copy of Firefox, run it from the folder and see if you have the same issue. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

Making progress (sort of).

The openSUSE distro channel had a new version of 91.x available, so I upgraded my Firefox. There was a slight change: The 'Accept' button now blinks when i click it. But, it still hangs.

So, I installed the 98 version you linked to me. It was in a new directory. Looks like a nicer version. The new credit card tool still "hangs" when I click "Accept".

And, I created a new user, ran Firefox as him (her? it? ). Same problem

Beginning to think this is a problem with Leap 15.3. Should I try to punt to the openSUSE forums, or does this still belong to this forum?

I'm on Tumbleweed, but let give it a try in Nightly and 98.0.2.

When and where are you seeing the 'Accept' button? Are seeing during a purchase? I have my card info save in Firefox, what's the next step?

I bring up the "screen" to enter my card info, once everything is entered the 'Accept' button changes color, which I take to be a clue that my entries pass the edits. Then I click that 'Accept' button -- and things just hang, nothing seems to be happening. After a few minutes I give up and cancel.

Got it!!! I had that ANNOYING thing pop up!!! I guess because it was the first time and yes the entire system was locked until I put in the same password used for sync. LMAO I should have taken a screenshot, but I was so surprised that my system was locked up. Now when I add a credit card it doesn't ask me for that password anymore.

For me it was something called Unlock Login Keyring. I switched user and was able to replicate the pop up. I had to use my phone to get a pic because you cannot do anything until you put in the password or cancel the prompt. see screenshot
