Unable to load any site all or open firefox settings
So I have no idea what happened besides a windows update since the last time I used the browser. I had 3 tabs open when I left yesterday for work and when I came back none of the 3 were loading just white screens and the loading icon next to the website just constantly spins I left it loading for 2 minutes before giving up.
I decided to try clearing out the cache, cookies, history, and basically all the options but passwords. Then I went ahead and tried again still no improvement. If I try opening a new tab and closing the others the same thing no difference.
I then noticed a windows update was going so I let it finish then restarted the computer and when it was ready checked firefox again and still nothing. So now I'm using Edge to type this out and am having no issue getting to any site that I was trying earlier.
Is there anything else I can do? Or is it like I gotta wait for a firefox update to come out?

Could this be relevant? A couple of other users identified Webroot (security software) as blocking 64-bit Firefox 97 -- released today -- from running properly: If you are still running an earlier release of Firefox, this would not be your issue.
Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
- Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}
That kinda helped I'm able to use firefox but it still has delays not as severe but more manageable. I put it to run as admin and it seemed to help slightly.
However yes I am using Webroot so I guess I gotta wait for them to figure it out and put out an update then?

After consulting with WebRoot, they advised this was a known issue. The fix was to remove and reinstalled the WebRoot application.
