I read the entire link that you sent. I struggled trying many many different things that I read which were supposed to work but did not. I think that ffmpeg is under development and constantly changing. And that the documentation states aspirational goals.
</p><p>So I decided to use OLD reliable software. My solution:
(a) I copied my 1 PNG image and 1 MP3 music files to my old desktop running Windows XP (not connected to Internet) .
(b) I used Windows MovieMaker software to create a 1-minute WMV video
(c) I copied my 1 1-minute WMV video over to my Ubuntu desktop
(d) I used <a href="https://www.freeconvert.com/" rel="nofollow">https://www.freeconvert.com/</a> to convert my WMV video to MP4.
</p><p>The resulting MP4 video works fine on Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Ubuntu Videos. You can view it at:
