Firefox won't open urldefense email links
My employer uses Proofpoint's urldefense to protect against malicious links in Outlook emails. A problem I'm having while working from home on my own Windows PC is that, with Firefox as my default browser, certain links that I know to be safe won't open. If, however, I change my default browser to, for example, Brave, they do open in Brave. My less than satisfactory work-around is to have Brave as my default browser while using Firefox whenever I can.
Insofar as I understand Proofpoint's explanation of how urldefense works, it rewrites links within Outlook emails so that clicking on a link goes to their facility for checking whether the original url is on their safe list. But if this indeed is how urldefense works, I don't understand how certain links "pass" and are opened in Brave but "fail" and do not open in Firefox.
It's an admittedly minor inconvenience. Nevertheless, if anyone knows of a fix, I'd be grateful.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
