Firefox won't open, even after several re-installs.

Firefox worked fine for many months on my Dell laptop. Then, in April, I suddenly could no longer open it. I spent many hours "chatting" with Microsoft tech, and doing what she said, reloading Windows, etc. She seemed to think that Windows was interfering somehow with Firefox function, but finally, she gave up and said she didn't know how to help.

Once in a while, I can open Firefox and see its home page, but then in less than five seconds, it disappears again.

I use Windows 10 pro, version 2004. I have 64 bit system with 3.61 gb ram useable.

I have "anywhere" selected in the Windows menu that controls source of downloads.

Can anyone help?
