Hi, I accidentally DLed FF88 without checking the details w/r/t functionality.

Several of the changes severely compromise my ability to use FF for my job.

Examples are the 'view image' which is now gone from right-click and replaced with 'open image in new tab' --this disrupts my work flow. And 'save image to pocket' etc is not useful for me, but happens to be right where I normally click on another function.

Is there a relatively seamless way to undo the FF88 'upgrade' ? TIA

See if win10 can restore a previous version.

If you right click on the FF main icon, you should be able to get the "properties"

And inside the properties, there is a tab regarding versions.

If you engage this section, you may be provided prior versions to revert too.

However, i am not 100% confident it works.

But its worth a try.

If you want to re-install an older version, the program will try to upgrade at some point. Did you want to prevent upgrading also?

How do you completely turn off update checks in Firefox v64? You can use a policies.json file to disable updates for all users. https://github.com/mozilla/policy-templates/blob/master/README.md or https://winaero.com/blog/disable-updates-firefox-63-above/

You can use a policies.json file in the distribution folder in the Firefox installation folder instead as also listed in the article, so no need to use GPO keys in the Windows Registry. • https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customizing-firefox-using-policiesjson

Note: Some versions of Quantum change how the data files are set up, so they may not be backward compatible.

Install Older Version Of Firefox {web link} Be sure to read everything here.

If you still want to downgrade, look under; I still want to downgrade. Click the Directory of other versions and languages link. Look for the directory of the version that you want. But, remember that old versions may have security issues.

I hear ya.

It wouldnt be a bad idea to install the former version that you were content with. Afterwards you can disable the updating feature.

If you choose to install an older version, my suggestion is to select "custom" installation and install it into a different folder than the current FF is in. This way you will have two versions installed and can safely transfer data from the current to the former.

Please tell me how to either get the old Tab system back or revert back to the last version of FireFox. This new version has the appearance of all tabs blended and they are. I don't know why FF keeps messing w/ tabs. I am so frustrated this. 89.0 Tabs do not work for me. Please Help! Thank you \

Hi Kathy,

Right now, my suggestion is that you post your question in a new thread where volunteers can get more details about your setup - help: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/desktop/form
