I am getting the message "Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www4.citizensbankonline.com/efs/servlet/efs/loginnew-wait.jsp" on this server. Reference #18.ad674d68.1618522318.738da43 " when I try to log on to my bank. I'm running Windows 8.1 with Windows Defender and have accessed this site for years. When I called the bank's tech support their response was "Why are you still using Firefox? Everybody uses Chrome now." I do not use Chrome, but Edge will access the web page with no problem. This has been occurring on and off for several weeks and I have tried all suggested solutions I've found here so far (clear cache, history, DNS prefetch.... ). I've also noticed numerous other posts with the same error message. Any ideas??

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, DuckDuckGo PE, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.

Firefox shows a purple shield instead of a gray shield at the left end of the location/address bar in case Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking content. You can click shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection. You can check the Web Console for messages about blocked content.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox for a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").

using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.

If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data for that website will be saved once again.

Clear all site data completely and login again.

Using Forget About This Site removes all data stored in Firefox from this domain (history, cookies, passwords, exceptions, and cache). Do make a backup of your login passwords or other data before proceeding.

From the menu button, Go to Library > History > Manage History Right-click the website's name then click Forget About This Site

If the above methods still don't work, try Firefox in Safe Mode.

From the menu button, go to Help > Restart With Add-ons Disabled... > Restart Alternatively, while Firefox application is closed, hold the shift key then launch Firefox
