Can't add bookmarks
Hi guys~ for some reasons I can't add bookmarks on my firefox browsers. At first, the marked webpage will only show names but not the link, when i click on the bookmarks that i saved it won't direct me to page. Now even worse, the bookmark function doesn't work at all. I tried restore all my settings and redownloaded firefox three times, it's always the same problem. Also the history function doesn't store my current browsing history at all. I 100% sure I didn't change anything at the privacy section.

That's not good. If you haven't done a normal shutdown and restart of your Mac since this problem began, I recommend trying that first. Want to make sure this isn't just a problem with a locked file.
If the problem continues, could you let us know what you get when you run the "Verify Integrity" function. That's here:
Open Firefox's Troubleshooting Information page using any of these methods:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help > Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
Near the bottom, there is a section titled Places Database -- that's the file which stores history and bookmarks. Click the button labeled Verify Integrity. There may be a 10-15 second delay before results appear.
If all is well, the report that appears below the button should start with:
> Task: checkIntegrity + The places.sqlite database is sane + The favicons.sqlite database is sane
Does yours say that, or something else? You can select and copy the report, and then paste it into a reply for review and comment.

I have run Malwarebytes with no issues.
I do get the "bookmarks and history system will not be functional..." error

Your Places database file is either locked or corrupted. If restarting your computer doesn't work, you may need to remove the file and let Firefox rebuild it. More info in this article: Fix "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional" error message.
