Hey, You can go to Options->Search->Default Search Engine and change it to your preference.

I found a 'Default Search Engine'. And it has Google as the default. But I'm unable to remove it. The 'Remove' button is greyed out. It does not work.

Can you remove this extension in Firefox Safe mode ?

You can find the install location of a specific extension in the extensions.json file in the profile folder. You can open the extensions.json file in a Firefox tab and search for this extension. The path field lists its install location.
