Remove History For One Site {web link}

Open the History Manager <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right-click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any site settings

it didn't work. can you create an account and type a message to a seller asking about product detail or whatever? then you fold the message down with an arrow top right, wait a bit, it will disappear eventually. not only the seller name on the right panel but the message on the left panel itself.

Hi model, that site requires an account to log in and use Chat, so that reduces the number of support volunteers who can help.

Is the old description still what you see today: "text shows up for a minute then disappears"?

it has english language when you first open the website. i type in english when messaging chinese sellers too.

sometimes re-open chat windows makes it disappear. reload the page doesn't bring chat text back.

i still see since before quantum, then quantum 57 to 85. i give up. i'm not sure if devs. are just lazy to fix it or it can't be fixed.

If I understand your last comment, you have had this problem since before Firefox 57. It is possible that the site's chat window is not compatible with Firefox for some reason, but it would be helpful to get feedback from other Firefox users of the site (somehow).

Meanwhile, could you try this:

New Profile Test

This takes about 3 minutes, plus the time to test the problem site.

Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.

Take a quick glance at the page and make a mental note of which Profile has this notation: This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted. That is your current default profile.

Click the "Create a New Profile" button, then click Next. Assign a name like Jan2021, ignore the option to relocate the profile folder, and click the Finish button.

Firefox will switch your default profile to the new one, so click the Set as Default Profile button for your regular one to avoid an unwanted surprise at your next startup.

Scroll down to Jan2021 and click its Launch profile in new browser button.

Firefox should open a new window that looks like a brand new, uncustomized installation. (Your existing Firefox window(s) should not be affected.) Please ignore any tabs enticing you to connect to a Sync account or to activate extensions found on your system to get a clean test.

Does the chat window work any better in the new profile?

When you are done with the experiment, you can close the extra window without affecting your regular Firefox profile. (Jan2021 will remain available for future testing.)
