For ages now I have been using about:config to stop the URL bar becoming bigger when you click it in (see attached image), but my Firefox automatically updated yesterday and I no longer have the option to stop this from happening. As well as becoming bigger when you click in it, the thing I find most annoying is that it automatically enlarges and flashes the cursor in the search bar when you click the new tab button, which I don't want as I mostly open a new tab to use the bookmark bar so have no need of the search bar at the point. Is there any way to stop this happening, please? I've been through loads of the options on about:config that used to work but seemingly no longer! I find it such a nuisance and just want it gone - any ideas?
