I keep getting this when I go to Facebook page (only started a week or so ago).

The page isn't redirecting properly

An error occurred during a connection to www.facebook.com.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

I am having this problem with the pennymacusa website. It uses a few subdomains that give this message:

    The page isn’t redirecting properly
An error occurred during a connection to customers.pennymacusa.com.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

I've research for hours, and have done everything I've found to do:

  • cleared cache and cookies
  • cleared history for all pennymacusa pages
  • refreshed firefox
  • allowed all cookies by choosing Custom in firefox Enhanced Tracking Protection and unchecking Cookies
  • used firefox Privacy & Security settings for cookies: Exceptions. Added customers.pennymacusa.com with ALLOW.
  • Also made sure that popups are allowed for this website.
  • rebooted computer
  • restarted modem

This is happening on only ONE computer. Other computers can get to these webpages with no problem.

At one point I got it to work for customers.pennymacusa.com, but then came to ANOTHER subdomain identity.pennymacusa.com, and cannot get past that no matter what I try.

Desperate for ideas! Thanks Jan

You can remove all data stored in Firefox for a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.

If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data for that website will be saved once again.

Thank you, cor-el.

Should I re-post this as a new question? I think nobody will notice it because this thread is marked as solved.

Thank you, Jan

Yes, best would be to create a new thread for your problem. That way the OP who created this thread won't receive emails.
