Disappearing news feeds

I'm using Thunderbird 60.9.0 with Ubuntu 16.04. I have numerous news feeds in Thunderbird. One is from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Only recently, when I click on an item from the CBC, it appears on the screen for a moment and then disappears. (That didn't begin to happen until recently and doesn't happen with any of my other news feeds.) To read the item, I have to copy the link into my browser and then open the item there. Is there some setting I can change to restore my ability to read CBC news items in Thunderbird?

The same thing here with any CBC feed, also in safe mode on TB 68.5 32b/W10. The feeds don't pass at https://validator.w3.org/ The only thing that works is View/Feed Message Body As/Summary. I don't know of any way to make these feeds work in TB - the fault is probably with the feed code.

Thank you for your reply, sfhowes. I've just emailed the CBC about the problem, which is causing me to read fewer CBC stories than formerly. Thanks again. LK
