Default email account not remembered

Veröffentlicht

In Account Settings -> Account Actions (drop down menu at bottom) -> Set as default

No matter how many times I try setting another acount here as the default, every time I start Thunderbird again it has set the default account to the one at the top of the list on the left. It means I have to be careful to send emails from the only account that I want to send from, This is terribly frustrating and I hope you can please help.

Also, the ordering of accounts in the left pane is something that's a problem for most users. The add-on that used to work does not any more. Hopefully there's a fix on the plans for this to please?

Otherwise, a great product!

The Manually sort folders add-on v. 2.0.2 does work in TB 68, but if you have an older version, it might have complicated the setting of defaults. I suggest you remove the add-on, restart TB, and see if you can set a default account. Do not set Local Folders as default (the choice should be greyed out), even if the add-on provided that option.

If you manage to restore the ability set a default account, go ahead and install the add-on to reorder accounts and folders - but don't use it to set a default. If the damage is irreparable, you may want to create a new profile.
