Why does the search bar keep jumping
I use bing for my search engine in Firefox. When I begin to type, the search bar keeps jumping. What might be the solution to this oddity?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
I started Firefox in Safe Mode (all themes become disabled and Default sets automatically). When I went out of Safe Mode problem still exists. How can I pinpoint better what is causing the jumping of the search bar; not sure what Safe Mode did for me.
Did the problem still happens when you started Firefox in Safe Mode?
Did your try to disable hardware acceleration as this can be a possible caused for such an issue?
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing the problem by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via one of these:
- "3-bar" menu button -> Exit (Power button)
- Windows: File -> Exit
- Mac: Firefox -> Quit Firefox
- Linux: File -> Quit
Thank you for your assistance. The problem did not occur when in safe mode. As you suggested, I have uninstalled (automatic re-install) the Intel (R) UHD Graphics 620 driver, disabled hardware acceleration and problem continues. Search bar jumps at the first character input. At this point, should I set performance back to default? How will my unchecking the boxes affect things for me going forward? Default settings would be best, right? If i find which add-on is causing the problem I really don't want to live without my necessary add-on. I have all the same add-ons/themes on another synced laptop without issues. Why this laptop?
