Firefox isn't letting me download the latest version of Thunderbird
I have gotten automatic notices that there is an updated version of Thunderbird to install, but when I try to download it, and I've done so several times, the download aborts basically as it starts. Any idea what may be causing this and how to fix it?

What kind of notice is that?

Why would you want to download a Thunderbird update using a browser? Thunderbird has a built-in update mechanism, and it will auto-update. There should be no need to download anything manually. To verify your Thunderbird version see https://support.mozilla.org/kb/find-what-version-thunderbird-you-are-using

If your problem is about Firefox, that would be a topic for the Firefox support forum.

Firefox 69.0.2 Issue
Windows 10 users with Family Safety/parental control enabled may experience problems with downloads if they are in a group. If you are an admin on your system, you could try removing yourself from any groups until the developers sort out why this is happening (it started in 69.0.2 due to slightly more functional but obviously not yet perfect integration with parental controls).
