When clicking the adress bar it now shows the whole list, while i just want to copy my current URL. How to disable this

Before the update i could click on the adressbar, type or copy the URL and thats it. However now when i click in the URLbar, i get the full list of URL's like i clicked on the pull down menu to get the recent/saved URLS from there. I just want to be able to click on the URLbar without showing all those URL's i dont want, only when i want to see this whole list, i want to click on the pull down arrow. That is gone now. It is always showing the full list.
