I received teh message that Thunderbird needs to be restarted due to the upgrade to 68.1.0. After I restarted my Win10 client Thunderbird does not start any more. Everytime I try to start it the following message comes up:

"Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Thunderbird. Do you want to reboot now?"

I have done this and still the message comes up.

I tried ti re-install Thunderbird version 68.1.0 as well as 60.6.1 but the the message from above appears always.

Please you anybody give me some support?

Thank you very much!

Sorry but what do you mean with "google-api-python-client/docs/README.md"? What do you try to tell me what to do?

Lars: Someone has sent you a message. It was not a response by anyone to your question otherwise you would see it in this question. Suggest you ignore it as it is blatantly trying to get you to use their webpage.

Lars did you create a backup of your profile prior to the upgrade ?

If no, suggest you create a backup: Exit Thunderbird - if it was running.

Make hidden files and folders visible: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders

If using Windows OS: C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles folder Copy the 'Profiles' folder to an external drive for backup as it contains all your profile name folders.

Then delete the currently installed Mozilla Thunderbird program.

If you are using Windows 10 64bit OS, then Windows will install Mozilla Thunderbird in one of two places. If you had download a 64bit Thunderbird download it will be here: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\ Delete this folder: Mozilla Thunderbird

If you had download a 32bit Thunderbird download it will be here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\ Delete this folder: Mozilla Thunderbird

Empty the Recycle Bin

Access this link and download and install the 32bit Thunderbird for Windows OS. Choosing prefered language. https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/all/ Start Thunderbird

Report back on results.
