Hi jesuislaplume, You can clear everything about your bank with Forget About This Site.
Note: All history items (browsing and download history, cookies, cache, active logins, passwords, saved form data, exceptions for cookies, images, pop-ups) for that site will be removed. Bookmarks will not be affected. Be sure to save your login credentials!
Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox Scroll down to Remove a single website from your history.
Hi jesuislaplume, I think your bank was speaking in rather general terms. Usually cached web pages and the cookies set by your bank's website are what would need to be cleaned out, and not other kinds of history. The "Forget About This Site" method will handle both of those at once, as well as the other items noted by My_Cheese_Is_Slippin'.
Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).
"Remove the Cookies" from websites that cause problems:
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data -> Manage Data
"Clear the Cache":
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear
Or target the specific site: Visit the site Click on the left end of the address bar At the bottom, select clear Cookies & Site Data In the pop-up window select Remove
