I have two accounts installed. Why is Sort by Subject only working with one account?

I need to sort by subject when it is not a direct reply. I receive multiple emails with the same subject from different senders and need to group them. Some subjects will be Re:SUBJECT and those need to sort with the same SUBJECT without the RE:. (like gmail conversation mode used to do) I have two accounts installed. This is working perfectly with one, but not at all with the other. I have the Conversations Add-On installed as well. Any help to resolve this is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
