On my "top hits" icons page, three sites (Huffington Post, Alternet and the Washington Post) are marked on the bottom with exclamation points inside red triangles. What does this mean? I've continued to visit those sites & I'm developing some weird problems on, not Firefox, but Thunderbird program. I don't have an anti-virus program installed, on the recommendation over the years of several technicians. Perhaps that information is outdated? Thanks for your reply! Barbara

I don't know how to answer the question about apps. My app folder has a hundred entries.. from the obvious (mozilla sites) to my word processing program, to adobe programs, to zoom, to ones that are obscure to me... I must have needed them at some time in the past, or perhaps the previous owner downloaded them, but I've had no occasion to become aware of them, things like VLM and suniti and Compression and Boom and .... etc etc. It wouldn't be practical for me to list them all... maybe I should delete them???? I have copied the names of all the apps downloaded since 2017--

OS X El Capitan.app (I didn't consciously download this) Thunderbird.app Firefox.app Adobe Reader.app Mac Cleanup Pro.app Utilities zoom.us.app Install macOS High Sierra.app Thunderbird.app alias Firefox 2.app Firefox 3.app Firefox 4.app Microsoft Office 2011 Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.app iTunes.app Calendar.app alias NeoOffice.app alias

I've set the opening page on Firefox to be the "Top Hits"-- I've uploaded an image in .jpeg...

Hope this is helpful.

Thank you

B

What do you get if you right-click this image and open the Inspector ?

You can right-click and select "Inspect Element" to open the builtin Inspector with this element selected.

Cor-el: I'm sorry I don't know how to right click on my Mac laptop computer! I don't use a mouse, but have a touch pad. Can I get around this, and how?

Many thanks for your answer.

How do you normally open a context menu?

There is a pref on the about:config page for a long left-click with a single button mouse.

  • ui.click_hold_context_menus
  • ui.click_hold_context_menus.delay (def:1500msec)
  • System Preferences -> Accessibility -> Mouse and Trackpad -> "Enable Mouse Keys"

I don't use (have or even want) a mouse either - I'm on Windows, but found this :
