Hi Barbara, what does the error message say? Can you copy/paste it into a reply?

When you check the address bar on the error page, does it seem to be a page on your intended search site, or is it on a different site?

How do I put a screen shot which you asked me to do into picture format? I normally copy anything and pasteit to Microsoft Word Doc. Also I download pictures from my camera to my PC's file system. Should I take a JPG photo of the screen instead of doing a screenshot and upload that to you?

Hi Barbara, instead of pasting into Word, you can paste into the Windows "Paint" program.

Or you can use Firefox's built-in screenshot tool. In the address bar, click the ••• menu button, then click Take a Screenshot. You can use the mouse to select a rectangular area of the page. Then click the Download button to save it as an image, or if the button is not visible, press the Enter key to trigger a save.

I do not have the scissors icon on my toolbar. Tell me how I can put it there please. Also in wondering around Firefox I came across a list of search engines I could use and chose Firefox. However, when I came out and opened Foirefox again the search engine was Google. How did that happen? I am happy that chosing a different search engine worked and I am live again thank you but i would still like to have the Scissors for screenshots icon on my address toolbar. Many thanks

Click the Page Actions button (•••), then right-click Take a Screenshot, then click Add to Address Bar. Then it should appear next to the star you would use to save a bookmark.

Hmm, there isn't a Firefox search engine. In most of the world, Firefox uses Google, although it makes it easy to switch to Bing or DuckDuckGo. Do you have one you like currently?

You can find items like "Take a Screenshot" and the bookmarks star in the drop-down list that opens if you click the "Page actions" button (3-dot icon at the right end of the location/address bar). You can right-click an item in the "Page actions" drop-down list to add its button to the location/address bar for easy access.

I don't have the scissor icon but I've just gone into Firefox brower again and I do have the [...] Icon and yes I've found take a screenshot so thank you very much. I've changed my search engine to Google and it works now but I would have prefered not to use Google because of all the Ads that appear. Is there a search engine you recommend? Kind regards Bibi

Hi Bibi, I use Google, but some topics do include a lot of ads before the "organic" results. You could try DuckDuckGo and see whether that works better for you. The icon is a duck head.
