The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use https://input.mozilla.org/feedback. Your feedback gets collected at http://input.mozilla.org/ where a team of people read it and gather data about the most common issues.

Hi jerenegade, how did you set Firefox never to check for updates?

In recent versions of Firefox, there is no longer an internal setting for that. Even if you see a preference in about:config, it is ignored. You would need to use the Policy mechanism discussed in other threads. It is not recommended for individual installations, it was intended for business setups where updates are centrally managed.

Hi jscher2000 , so what's that Policy mechanism ? Could you point me to some resource where I could read about it ? Thanks in advance.
