Unable to enter a lower case “p” in the To, CC, BCC, Subject, or Address Picker fields on IBM Web Mail on FireFox 66
IBM SmartCloud Notes web users who have upgraded to FireFox 66 to be unable to enter a lower case “p” in the To, CC, BCC, Subject, or Address Picker fields.
Older versions of FireFox as well as any other browsers are working fine

What happens when you type p. Nothing? Or some other function is triggered?
Firefox 66 changed how Firefox reports some keyboard events to try to be more consistent with other browsers. However, that also means sites that handle Firefox in a unique way may now malfunction.
To test whether that is the issue:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste hack and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the dom.keyboardevent.keypress.hack.use_legacy_keycode_and_charcode preference to display a dialog where you can modify the preference value.
By default, the value was recently updated to
powerpoint.officeapps.live.com
To apply this workaround to your mail server, enter the host name after that, so using the fictitious mail server https://my.mail.host.com/ it would be:
powerpoint.officeapps.live.com,my.mail.host.com
Then click OK to save the change.
This should take effect the next time you reload the current mail tab, or if you open your mail in a new tab.
Any difference?

Thanks, the steps you mentioned fixed the issue for me. I have logged a bug with Mozzila : https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1538317 I am not sure, but would this be considered to be fixed immediately/remotely

Mozilla could push out a config change that would implement the workaround globally, as it did for PowerPoint online. However, there may be a delay because that update needs to not wipe out the PowerPoint entry. Also, is there a broad enough user impact? So far, Word online has only made the "maybe" list, if that is any indication...
Sure, this is certainly affecting IBM SCN Mail users, how broad is the impact is hard to state.
Will keep on monitoring the bug for details down the line.
