I have a brand new (only few days old) Mac Book Pro. Firefox is my preferred browser. When I try to load a profile on dnapainter.com the program hangs. I talked to one of the programmers at DNA Painter, as I thought it was their problem. He had me put up the console window to see what error message I was getting. The error message in the console window is NS_ERROR_FILE corrupted. When I try and send a message in 23andMe.com the program hangs with the same error message. When I run Ancestry something flashes across the street but disappears before I have a chance to see what it says. Ancestry does seem to run as expected.

I copied all of my Firefox preference settings from my old Mac Book Pro. The old Mac Book Pro is running the OS Sierra 10.12.6 and has never had this problem. This is a brand new computer and has been doing this since I got it. There's nothing in history to clear. I tried going to Firefox 64.0 but that didn't fix the issue.

I talked to Apple Support yesterday who had me run malwarebytes which removed 2 files and restarted the computer, but it did not correct this Firefox issue. They were not aware of any issues with Mojave and Firefox.

If I run in a Firefox 'private window' all of my programs work as expected. Any suggestions to correct this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help. Patricia

this is part other other fix Solution again i may be way off her but its worth a try

   Open your security product.
   Click Web and Email Protection.
   Click Firewall.
Click Internet Connections for Programs drawer.
NOTE: Depending on the version of the McAfee software you have installed, this may be called Program Permissions.

If your program is in the list:
Select your program, and click Edit.
Under Access, ensure that Incoming and outgoing is selected, then change the type from default to Open to all devices.
NOTE: You can also choose to Use designated ports if you know which ports to select.

       Click Save.

If your program is not in the list:
       Click Add.
Click Browse and locate the file you want to add.
Select the application and click Open.
Under Access, ensure that Incoming and outgoing is selected, then change the type from default to Open to all devices.
NOTE: You can also choose to Use designated ports if you know which ports to select.

       Click Save.

Thanks, but I don't have any McAfee software installed.
