trusted sites

In IE I can define "trusted sites", there I can use strings like *.domain.com. There's also a setting to include Intranet sites in a local zone. I'm unable to find similar functionality in FF... I do find a place where I can define sites that can install add-ins but not sure if that does the same (furthermore, wildcards do not seem to be supported there). I'd appreciate any help, now (@work) I'm constantly prompted for user credentials.

Are you being prompted for your Windows network login? If there is a server that uses Windows credentials, you can add it to a list here:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste trusted and pause while the list is filtered

Let's say you have http://intranet and http://accounting that you trust to receive your Windows login:

(3) Double-click the network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris preference to display a dialog where you can enter the desired value, then type or paste just the host names, separated by commas:

intranet,accounting

and click OK

(4) For newer versions of Windows Server, you might need to repeat that with network.negotiate-auth.trusted-uris

Was that what you needed?

Thanks. Still working on this... it's not solved yet. Don't know if that's because the method you indicated has a problem or because the sites I enter there are wrong...

Users have reported that Firefox doesn't support some features of Sharepoint related to working with Office documents, but I can't recall the details. What have you noticed?

I get an error message saying "You can't get there from here".

That's a little informal for Microsoft, but they do have an article on it here:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/user-help/user-help-device-remediation

It says "If you're using Windows 10, the supported browsers include Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome."

So Firefox is blocked. I don't know if it's a good use of your time or my time to try to figure out why since that won't really make any difference.

Thanks. Pity FF is not supported... I like it much better than IE, Edge or Chrome. I was hoping maybe FF would know, are they reading posts in the forum you think? (BTW, I get the error under Win7)
