I can not log into my Yahoo accounts from Firefox. I have one open; I try to open another, and it consistently tells me my password is incorrect.

This IS NOT a Yahoo problem. I can log in just fine from Edge. I like Firefox much better than Edge, but if this isn't fixed I will permanently switch. I have uninstalled and reloaded Firefox 3 times. Once. the Norton tech did it for me. Then I did it twice. It doesn't seem to correct

Are you trying to log into more than one account at the same time? Most websites do not allow this.

https://github.com/hultmann/multifox/releases/tag/3.2.3 Multifox is an extension that allows Firefox to connect to websites using different user names. Simultaneously!

NO. I am trying to log in one at a time. Yahoo allows that, and allows changing on the site, but managing accounts. One account will sometimes open, sometimes not. Even if one opens when I go to open the next, it tells me that my password is incorrect. For every account, every time. Only happens on Firefox; not on Edge.

Hi, please try : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 62.0.0 with a Full Version Installer

Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to. You may also lose any settings for that website.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

I have uninstalled and re-installed Firefox 3 times. The first time, I thought it was a Norton Safe Search issue, and contacted Norton. It wasn't that, but the technician uninstalled Firefox, performing a complicated process that exceeded "uninstall" that I couldn't even follow. We thought it was repaired. It wasn't. So I tried uninstalling; it never worked.

I dislike Edge, but I also dislike using two different browsers, jumping from Firefox to Edge to use Yahoo. So I will need to give up Firefox, since nothing seems to work

did you tried The Refresh feature ?

(called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

  1. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
    • If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
  3. Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
  4. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

Did this fix the problem? Please report back to us!

Thank you.
