"Failed to send email" while adding secondary email to Firefox account.

I recently delete my gmail account and switched to another email provider. I tried adding a second email to my Firefox account but it says "Failed to send email". I'm not quite sure how to fix this as I would prefer not to create a new account.

You can not fix it. Create a new account.

Your suppose to change the email account in any and all programs and sites to the new email before deleting the old account. This is Standard Practise as like you do not cut off your hydro or Cable before you move to a new address. You notify of change.

have you tried deleting your old e-mail account first since it will no longer be in use? If that doesn't work, try clearing your browser's cache.

I have done that for every other account but I forgot about my Firefox. I'll create a new one than. Thanks Pkshadow said
