Thumbnails on website are rotated 90 degrees.
I am posting items on an auction website. www.ckrotaryauction.org. When you click on the item to open it, all the thumbnails are rotated 90 degrees, and does not look professional. This is strange because it does not happen when using Microsoft Edge as the browser. Trying to upload a small screenshot of the problem, but it may not be happening.

The issue lies with the website itself. For some reason, they have applied a CSS property to the thumbnails called image-orientation and set it to 90 degrees. This CSS property was experimental and only ever supported in Firefox, which is why the images appear normal on other internet browsers.
Unless you are the website administrator, there's not much that you will be able to do to fix the issue. I have filed a bug report to our Webcompat team and they will work to contact the website administrator to report the issue.

So when you look at the page in Edge are the pictures still 90 off ?
Please : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Hello Pkshadow. I did what you suggested, and I'm sure that all steps were completed, and the thumbnails are still rotated 90 degrees. Could the problem reside at Bidding Owl? They are hosting the auction.
That sounds like an issue with the website that is uploading the images from your PC; something that might be able to be corrected in the software at that website. Or just use Edge to upload those images, if you can't figure out how to correct the orientation in their software. I wonder if you had tried the Chrome browser, and if the image was rotated there, too?
Also, I wonder about the original source of those images; like maybe a cell-phone that was held sideways when the image was captured? Then how did that image get into the web browser?
I had that "rotation" happen, too, when using a flip-phone to take the image. IE got it right, but with Firefox, Chrome, and Opera the image was rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise when the phone was held sideways.
We have contacted Bidding Owl as it appears that the problem is theirs. As far as the source of the photos, there are many, so it can't be just associated with an image being captured sideways. Thank you for your help. It tells us that the problem isn't Firefox.

It is likely that some transform or transition CSS rules is active that other browsers may not support.
