I had no problem with the link.

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}

The screen below the address bar is totally blank. No lock icon anywhere. I am in the Philippines, so the sight might be blocked by my ISP. So I just tried another link www.lawphil.net/judjuris/juri2017/nov2017/pdf/ac_10564_2017.pdf same result. I've never had problem with this site before, it's a supreme court decision. If I'm overwriting an already open tab, the original site remains (ie, no white screen), and the URL in the address bar changes to the lawfil.net URL.

I tried the above link in edge, the pdf loads fine.

Safe mode (with no addons?): same result. The little dot (telling me to wait patiently) in the tab goes by once, a blue blur goes by left to ritht, and the white screen is displayed

If the problem is still there with Firefox Safe Mode, then the problem may be in your system.

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

Recall that I'm able to go to the sites with pdf's with edge. I should still try safe mode for Windows 10?

Yes. Just go in and see if the problem is gone.

In safe mode I have no access to the internet at all. The WiFi icon to the left of the date and time does not appear. The indicator light for WiFi is lighted. The speaker and battery icons are not displayed, either. I used msconfig, selected "boot" tab, and checked safe boot - minimal. I have Toshiba M645-S4070 with Win 10 Pro.

I restarted as before, but checked safe boot - network. To find a pdf I google "a.c. no. " and pdf. A hit near the top is [PDF]fflanila - LawPhil www.lawphil.net/judjuris/juri2017/nov2017/pdf/ac_10564_2017.pdf Nov 7, 2017 - A.C. No. 10564 committing forgery and falsification of a deed of absolute sale, in breach of his lawyer's oath and in violation of the laws. I clicked on the top line [PDF]fflanila - LawPhil a new tab opens, but is not changed to the lawphil.net address. Then I opened a new tab and manually entered www.lawphil.net/judjuris/juri2017/nov2017/pdf/ac_10564_2017.pdf Paste & go, and get same result as before: nearly instant white screen.

You can check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) for messages about blocked content and about the presence of mixed or unsafe content.

You can check the Network Monitor to see if content is blocked or otherwise fails to load.

If necessary use "Ctrl+F5" or "Ctrl+Shift+R" (Mac: Command+Shift+R) to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.
