I have Firefox 59.02 64bit in Windows 7 64bit and upon clicking on a dialog to download software as in Majorgeeks Firefox crashes. firefox also crashes in other sites, basicly when there is a situation where I click on a download link. Now this never happened in previous versions of Firefox. I don't know if a particular security setting would have caused this to happen but surely it is very disconcerting and frustrating to use with it happening frequently. Thanks.

Those crash reports weren’t sent to the Mozilla Servers.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

Well Firefox continues to crash to this day. As I said when I click on a download icon in Majorgeeks, for example, firefox crashes. Also if I type 'about:preferences' Firefox crashes right to this day. Further, there are numerous other examples where I click on a download icon and it crashes. I am not making this up. Thanks.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

While still in Safe Mode, follow the instructions (above) and get us the crash reports for the last few days only.

Again, I just received an email with an URL link in Hotmail, I then clicked on the link and Firefox crashed.

thanks, those reports show comodo, malwarebytes anti-exploit and directory opus are all hooking into the browser process. perhaps one (or a combination) of them is causing the troubles.

the crash reports also indicate that you switched back and forth firefox versions with the same profile - which is not something that's supported and might corrupt stuff. so creating a new profile might also be a way to troubleshoot issues: Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles
